The Tranquility of Encaustics
I will be the first to say that I have allowed myself to be romanced by honey bees and encaustic medium.
The molten beeswax turned into paint or used to encapsulate photographs or other pieces of art is captivating.
Creating your own medium is actually quite simple and safe. Yes, precautions must be taken with heating the beeswax and resin, but once you have taken proper measures, let the aromatherapy and art therapy begin.
