Nurturing the Artist Within Series | 001

We all have one - the artist within. You know, the bold, beautiful (as God sees you), courageous, beauty-seeking, full-of-wonder version of you.
Not the prim and perfect, but the soul that is searching as it is longing for expression at the same time. Or at least, she wants to.
If we're honest, most of us have a quiet and deep desire to listen to that part of ourselves.
It is indeed where we find fulfillment in all that God has for us.

Creativity comes from a place of curiosity, wonder, and desire.
None of these can be forced. They must be nurtured: the creativity, your purpose, the beauty, your being, and the artist within. When I speak of nurturing yourself, I’m referring to the ways you invite peace, joy, calm, relaxation, beauty, and inspiration (just to name a few) into your presence. For your creativity to come from that authentic place within, you must allow yourself grace in all of the tender places... so that you can experience and nurture that creative soul discerning her way to the forefront of your being.

This is important because if you don’t, then you'll struggle with feelings of inadequacy and perfectionism. Those two are going to show up no matter what. However, what I want more than anything is for that part of your journey to be the least of your focus, ever. Taking care of yourself and supporting the artist within is a sacred calling. It’s one we’ve all been given in one way or another. Beautiful things begin to happen when you follow the sacred wonder and courageous beauty guiding you from within.
In this series, I will share some suggestions on nurturing and taking care of yourself well.
I then draw a correlation between them and your creativity. I hope you find it helpful.
